Európa v Trenčíne: Portugal a España

KKC Hviezda predstavuje nový formát podujatí Európa v Trenčíne – priamy spoj za európskym umením, hudbou a kultúrou. Prostredníctvom koncertov, výstav a stretnutí chceme prepájať Trenčín s rôznymi krajinami Európy a prinášať autentické umelecké zážitky, ktoré reflektujú rozmanitosť, tradície aj súčasnú tvorbu naprieč kontinentom.
Prvou zastávkou bude Portugalsko a Španielsko. Večer otvorí vernisáž výstavy 17 cieľov udržateľného rozvoja v ilustráciách a hudobným vrcholom bude koncert výraznej osobnosti portugalskej world music Daniela Pereira Crista.
Po koncerte bude nasledovať premietanie španielského filmu Pájaros (Za krídlami).
Daniel Pereira Cristo je portugalský hudobník, spevák a skladateľ, ktorý sa vyznamenal v oblasti tradičnej portugalskej hudby a nástrojov. Je uznávaný za svoje texty, hudbu a hranie na tradičných portugalských strunových nástrojov.
Jeho debutový album „Cavaquinho Cantado“ získal v roku 2018 prestížnu cenu Carlosa Paredesa. V roku 2022 vydal svoj druhý album „De Pernas para o Ar“, ktorý obsahuje viac spevácko-skladateľských a existencialistických prístupov, pričom si zachováva svoju oddanosť kultúrnym koreňom a tradičným nástrojom, najmä cavaquinho a viole braguesa. Jeho hudba odráža vášeň pre portugalskú kultúrnu identitu a prostredníctvom tohto sebapoznania sa zameriava na podporu tolerancie, rozmanitosti a kultúrnej plurality v Portugalsku a vo svete.
Na Slovensku Daniel predstaví svoju kolekciu tradičných portugalských strunových nástrojov po boku hudobníka Rodriga Peixoto na gitare.
Podujatie vzniklo v spolupráci s projektom Európske hlavné mesto kultúry Trenčín 2026, Veľvyslanectvom Španielska v Bratislave a Veľvyslanectvom Portugalska v Bratislave.

KKC Hviezda introduces a new event format, „Europe in Trenčín“ – a direct connection to European art, music, and culture. Through concerts, exhibitions, and gatherings, our goal is to connect Trenčín with various European countries and bring authentic artistic experiences that reflect the diversity, traditions, and contemporary creation across the continent.
The first stop will be Portugal and Spain. The evening will open with the exhibition launch of „17 Sustainable Development Goals in Illustrations,“ and the musical highlight will be a concert by Daniel Pereira Cristo, a prominent figure in Portuguese world music.
The concert will be followed by a screening of the Spanish film Pájaros (Birds).
Daniel Pereira Cristo is a Portuguese musician, singer, and songwriter who has distinguished himself in the field of traditional Portuguese music and instruments. He is widely recognized for his lyrics, music, and mastery of traditional Portuguese string instruments.
His debut album, Cavaquinho Cantado, won the prestigious Carlos Paredes Prize in 2018. In 2022, he released his second album, De Pernas para o Ar, which features a more singer-songwriter and existentialist approach while maintaining his dedication to cultural roots and traditional instruments, especially the cavaquinho and viola braguesa. His music reflects a passion for Portuguese cultural identity and, through this self-discovery, aims to promote tolerance, diversity, and cultural plurality both in Portugal and worldwide.
In Slovakia, Daniel will present his collection of traditional Portuguese string instruments alongside musician Rodrigo Peixoto on guitar.
The event was created in cooperation with the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 project, the Embassy of Spain in Bratislava, and the Embassy of Portugal in Bratislava.
